NOCIONES PREVIAS
Para tejer estos calentadores es necesario saber tejerpunto del derecho, del revés, montar puntos mediantecualquier método, aunque se recomienda el de lahebra larga, cerrar puntos, tejer en circular y la técnicade magic loop. También es imprescindible saber leergráficos de colourwork, ya que las instrucciones paratejer el cuerpo de los calentadores con el detalle encolourwork se dan únicamente en forma de gráfico.
CONSTRUCCIÓN
Estos calentadores se tejen en circular de arriba haciaabajo, de una sola pieza y de uno en uno, aunque site atreves puedes hacerlos a la vez. Se recomiendatrabajar con magic loop o con agujas cortas de cablede 23 cm [9”] (shorties). El patrón no está escritopara agujas de doble punta, pero si prefieres trabajarcon ellas, puedes hacerlo.
MUESTRA
22 puntos y 32 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x
10 cm [4 x 4”] en punto jersey, sin bloquear.
27 puntos y 27 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x
10 cm [4 x 4”] en el motivo de los calentadores,
sin bloquear.
25 puntos y 25 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x 10
cm [4 x 4”] en el motivo de los calentadores, después
de bloquear.
HILO
2 madejas, 1 en color 1 (color principal) y otra en
color 2 (color de contraste) de Merino DK de Feliz
y Punto (100% merino superwash; 225 m / 100 g;
246 yd / 3.52 oz).
Los colores utilizados son el Rosalia y el Dark Milori
para la versión azul / rosa y el Stroh y el Habana
para la muestra rosa / marrón.
AGUJAS
Agujas circulares de 4 mm [US 6] o las necesarias
para obtener la muestra de tensión, con cable de 80
cm [32”] para trabajar con magic loop, o shorties de
23 cm [9”] para no usar magic loop.
OTROS ACCESORIOS
1 marcador para el inicio de vuelta. Aguja lanera para
rematar las hebras.
TALLAS
1 (2, 3).
Contorno de pierna de la prenda: 24 (28, 32) cm [9.5
(11, 12.5)”].
Altura: 37 cm [14.5”].
Este patrón es adaptable, haciendo más o menos
repeticiones de las vueltas centrales del gráfico se pueden
obtener calentadores más largos o más cortos.
Ten en cuenta que si los haces más largos, los requerimientos
de lana se pueden incrementar. Además,
para hacerlos más estrechos o más anchos puedes
restar o añadir 10 puntos al número de puntos de las
tallas extremas, cada 10 puntos restará o sumará unos
4 cm [1.5”] de contorno. Es decir, si a la talla 1 le restas
10 puntos te quedarían 50 puntos y el contorno que
obtendrías sería de 20 cm [7.75“] aproximadamente.

To knit these leg warmers you need to know how to caston stitches with any method, although the long tail castonis recommended, to knit, purl, and work in the roundusing the magic loop technique, to be familiar with thestranded colourwork technique, to work following chartedinstructions, and to bind off stitches. It is essential tobe able to follow charted instructions, as they are usedfor the colourwork detail of the body of the leg warmersand written instructions are not provided.
CONSTRUCTION
This leg warmers are worked seamlessly in the round,from top to bottom one at a time, but if you wouldlike to, you can knit both at the same time. It is recommendedto work them on magic loop, or with 23 cm[9”]-cable short needles. The pattern is not written fordouble pointed needles, but if you would rather workwith them, you may do so.
GAUGE
22 stitches and 32 rounds in 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] in
stockinette stitch, without blocking.
27 stitches and 27 rounds in 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] in
colourwork motif, without blocking.
25 stitches and 25 rounds in 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] in
colourwork motif, after blocking.
YARN
2 skeins, 1 in Colour 1 (main colour) and 1 in Colour 2
(contrast colour) of Merino DK by Feliz y Punto (100%
Superwash Merino; 225 m / 100 g; 246 yd / 3.52 oz).
The colourways used are Rosalia and Dark Milori for
the blue / pink version, and Stroh and Habana for the
pink / brown version.
NEEDLES
4 mm [US 6] circular needles or the required needle
size to obtain gauge, with a cable length of 80 cm
[32”] to work on magic loop, or 23 cm [9”] shorties to
not work on magic loop.
OTHER NOTIONS
1 stitch marker for the beginning of the round. Tapestry
needle to weave in ends.

This pattern is adjustable in height, by working more or
less chart pattern repeats you can get longer or shorter
leg warmers, but keep in mind that if you decide to
make them longer, the yarn requirements might increase.
You can also adjust them easily to make them
narrower or wider in circumference, by subtracting
or adding 10 stitches to the smallest or biggest size,
respectively; each 10 stitches will subtract or add 4 cm
[1.5”] of circumference approximately. I.e., if you cast
on 10 stitches less for size 1, the leg warmer will have
50 stitches, which would give you a circumference
