NOCIONES PREVIAS
Para tejer este chaleco es necesario saber tejer punto del derecho, del revés, montar y cerrar puntos, hacer aumentos, remontar puntos y tejer en circular.
CONSTRUCCIÓN
Este chaleco se construye de arriba a abajo sin ninguna costura. Se comienza tejiendo por el trasero (la espalda), dejando los puntos en espera cuando alcanzamos una longitud suficiente para las sisas, a continuación se tejen los delanteros, bien por separado, bien simultáneamente, dependerá de la tejedora. Una vez alcanzada la longitud necesaria para cerrar el escote se unen los delanteros que se convierten en una pieza que se teje en plano hasta las sisas, se unen las 2 piezas, delantero y trasero, y se continúa tejiendo el chaleco hasta en elástico inferior. Una vez acabado el cuerpo se levantan los puntos del escote para tejer, el elástico del cuello en circular. Finalmente, se levantan puntos en las sisas para tejer el remate en punto elástico en circular.
MUESTRA
15 puntos y 19 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] en punto jersey, sin bloquear.
HILO
2 (2, 3, 3, 4, 4) madejas de Dehesa de Barrera de Wooldreamers (100% lana merina ecológica española; 100 g / 230 m; 3.52 oz / 252 yd) junto con 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) madejas de Baby Suri de TAnana Yarns (74% baby suri alpaca, 26% mulberry silk; 50 g / 300 m; 1.76 oz / 328 yd). Se teje con dos hebras (una de cada calidad) a la vez.
AGUJAS
Agujas circulares de 6 mm [US 10] con cable de 40 cm [16”] para el escote y más largo para el cuerpo, o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión (sin bloquear).
Agujas de 5.5 mm [US 9] con cable de 40 cm [16”] para rematar el escote o shorties de 20 cm [8”] para escotes de tallas pequeñas.
OTROS ACCESORIOS
1 marcador para el inicio de vuelta y 1 más para los aumentos. 2 marcadores de tipo imperdible para indicar el final de los aumentos. Aguja lanera para rematar las hebras.

SKILLS
To knit this vest you need to know how to knit, to purl, to cast on and bind off stitches, to make increases, to pick up stitches and to knit in the round.
CONSTRUCTION
This vest is knit seamlessly top-down. First, the back is knit and stitches are put on hold when the desired length of the armhole has been reached. Then, the front panels are worked either one at a time or simultaneously.
Once the neckline drop has been shaped, both front panels are joined to continue knitting flat until the bottom of the armhole.
Once the underarm has been reached, both front and back panels are joined to continue knitting the body of the vest in the round, which is finished with a bottom ribbing. Next, stitches are picked up around the neckline, and a ribbed neckband is worked in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up at the armholes to work a ribbed edge in the round.

Both yarns are held together throughout the pattern.
NEEDLES
6 mm [US 10] / 40 cm [16”] circular needles for the yoke and a longer cable for the body, or the required needle size to obtain gauge (without blocking).5.5 mm [US 9] / 40 cm [16”] circular needles for the neckline or 20 cm [8”] shorties for the smaller sizes’ necklines.
OTHER NOTIONS
One stitch marker for the beginning of the round and another stitch marker for the increases. Two removable stitch markers to indicate the end of the increases. Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
